What this service is—and is not
Custodium provides advisory and analytical support related to understanding asset flows and related records. We help clients define what questions matter, what evidence is available, what gaps remain, and how findings should be presented to leadership and professional advisors.
We do not manufacture or sell goods, and we do not promise specific investigative outcomes. Where specialized licensed professionals are required (for example, legal representation in court, or regulated forensic disciplines), clients remain responsible for retaining appropriate providers; Custodium can coordinate and support preparation within an agreed advisory scope.
When assets tracing advisory is relevant
Organizations often face situations where cash, receivables, inventory, digital assets, equity interests, or intellectual property rights are difficult to follow across entities, jurisdictions, or time periods. These situations may arise in the context of internal investigations, commercial disputes, post-incident reviews, or complex reorganizations.
Our role is to bring structure: translating a messy fact pattern into a clear work plan, a coherent narrative where facts support it, and explicit identification of unknowns where they do not.
Typical workstreams
Scoping and tracing strategy
We help define objectives, map entities and relationships at a high level, and align the tracing effort with commercial, legal, and regulatory priorities. This includes clarifying decision points, timelines, and what “success” means for the client in practical terms.
Information and documentation review
We support structured review of contracts, ledgers, correspondence, disclosures, and third-party materials. The goal is not volume for its own sake, but defensible conclusions: what is supported, what is inferred, and what remains unproven.
Stakeholder coordination and negotiation preparation
When multiple parties are involved—counterparties, advisors, regulators, or internal functions—we help clients prepare clear materials, align messaging, and reduce ambiguity before discussions move forward.
Deliverables
Depending on scope, deliverables may include executive summaries, issue maps, gap analyses, chronologies, briefing decks for leadership, and structured question lists for follow-up requests. Deliverables are agreed in advance so expectations remain transparent.
